>Eiko! She's left an impression on you in a good way. Except the dream isn't lewd, it's... surprisingly domestic?

>Wolves chasing you and menacing wings

>When you murdered the angel.

>A dream of you and Haze. Hoppin' worlds together, havin' a grand old time. No murder, no constantly looking over your shoulder. Just you two enjoying eachother's company, going on adventures, and getting into trouble. The fun kind of trouble, though.
>The dream lasts longer than would otherwise be comfortable when you wake up. It felt real. Too real.
>...Shit you must be allergic to wolf fur or something. Woke up and your eyes are waterin', damn.

....

You enter the living room. It is.. familiar. Yet, unfamiliar. It has always been here. You have always lived here. The couches with many blankets and patterned pillows your mom loves to use to decorate with, the coffee table with age-old scratches and too much clutter, the triangle windows and the tv that turns on when it feels like it. All familiar...

You glance out. It's early in the day, you think. Your siblings should be out by now, either at work or fucking off to do whatever.

You're going to work today. You need to. Bills have to be paid. You've been working your main job at the grocery store and another side hustle that brings you more money than anything else you've done before. Though it's risky business, so you'll have to stop soon...

You turn your head to the kitchen and see your sibling, 4$$%%# Eiko, leaned on the kitchen counter. She seems to sense you, turning to look over before you can say a word. You catch a slight glimpse at her phone but don't process it.

Her expression is suspiciously cheerful. You're on edge.

You stare at her, voice taking on the tone of your older brother, "Shouldn't you be in class right now?"

Eiko snorts. "Don't be like that, I skipped for a reason."

"And what reason could that be? I'm helping pay for those classes you're skipping, you know."

Eiko easily shoots back, "What, I can't do something nice for my Nii-san Kuya?"

You look over now at the slight mess on the counter, noodle packets and flavoring plastics piled together, an eggshell, a keen burning scent.

Your tone's now suspicious, "And why would you do that?"

She continues her faux-doting-sibling act without missing a beat, "Well, like you said, you're helping pay for my school and you came home late last night. And you slept through breakfast." She whirls around to grab something beside her, "Here, I made your favorite."

She presents what should be a bowl of noodles with what looks like volcanic ash on top. You look down at it unimpressed.

You half laugh, "Are you trying to kill me? What is this? A sprinkle of ash from the fireplace?"

Eiko's cheerful smile drops into her typical look of annoyance, ear twitching, then shoves the bowl more forcefully into your space. "You're funny. Just have a bite! I know you're hungry!"

She probably wants something.
